The Power of Human Voice and Storytelling

Our voices are about as unique as our fingerprints. Actor Daniel Day-Lewis takes the definition higher by saying “Voice is a fingerprint of soul.”

The human voice is an outstanding blend of emotion, communication, and connection. Human voice gives words a deeper meaning. We use our it to structure and express even the most abstract thoughts and emotions to others.

In the realm of storytelling, the human voice is not just a tool, it's a bridge to the heart. A human voice can transfer a string of words to an emotional journey.

Telling stories is the best single vehicle we have
to transfer our ideas to one another.

Verbal communication is unique to humans. We use stories to make sense of our world and to share that point of view with others. Stories makes the information memorable. Stories touch us emotionally. Through emotional connection, we gain a deeper understanding of other people's experiences and their situations. Scientific studies even show that stories literally put our brainwaves in sync.

It’s about getting the story out there.

When the narrator feels the material and understands the style, tone, genre and atmosphere, the story will be easy to receive, believe and relate to. If not, or takes all of the emotion out from the story, the message may end up shallow or even hard to understand. Then again, if the expression is over the top, it might be too much to digest.

The right narrator with skills in art and craft of voice,
the message will be heard.
